If your choir is thinking they would like to visit Hampshire the Solent Male Voice Choir would make you most welcome.

We are based in Havant, close to Hayling Island, Portsmouth and the South Downs National Park.

There are a number of hotels in the area including 2 Premier Inns, Hilton, Holiday Inn Express and a variety of privately run hotels.

There is plenty to do and see in the area.  Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with HMS Victory and The Mary Rose Museum are fascinating. Gunwharf Quays shopping centre and the famous Spinnaker Tower is close by. You could even take the hovercraft from Southsea to the Isle of Wight. For anyone keen on walking or cycling the South Downs National Park is close by.

The SMVC hold concerts in a variety of venues in the area, usually churches.

Early planning is essential as the area has a vibrant and busy music scene.

We try as hard as we can to avoid clashes with other similar events or over use of a popular venue (see the link to Music in Portsmouth below for information about whats on in the area).
