An explanation of what happens at an AGM can be found HERE

Your Chairman, Dave, is standing down as Chairman at the AGM.

He is happy to continu with Publicity and the Website (unless someone else wants to take either of them on).

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT WE ELECT ANOTHER CHAIRMAN.

A new Chairman could bring a new direction for the Choir.

Under Charity Commission rules the Choir may not function without a Chairman or any of the three Officers.

THE COMMITTEE

Whilst most of the Committee are willing to continue there is no obligation for them to simply be re-elected.  If you are unhappy about the way in which things are run, or you want to help to organise things, you might like to consider putting yourself up of election in any of the posts on the Committee.

Those posts are:

  • Chairman (also an officer
  • Treasurer (also an Officer)
  • Secretary (also an Officer)
  • Membership Secretary
  • Concert Secretary
  • Stage Manager

Other posts that do not necessarilly need to be committee members are : Librarian, Publicity, Website
